Frequently Asked Questions

All drop off / pick up times are approximate and for outside only.

If the castle is Indoors times may vary but all last pick up times are to the discretion of the management.

Q: How do you inflate the bouncy castle when you have delivered it? Will I be able to put it down?

A: Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are simply plugged in to a suitable socket in your house or out building; we supply long extension cables and power breakers with all castles so you don't need a socket nearby. To deflate the castle, simply unplug the fan and it will slowly collapse (make sure nobody is using the castle at the time!).

Q: What happens if it’s raining or particularly bad weather on the day of the booking?A: If the weather forecast is bad/ raining on the day of your hire you can cancel without a cancellation charge. We ask that you cancel no later than the Friday lunchtime if your hire is on Saturday and Saturday morning if your hire is on a Sunday.

We never cancel a booking because it is drizzly rain. We do not like to let the children down. The only reason we would cancel a booking is if the weather is too dangerous to use an inflatable. Health and safety is paramount to us at Available Castles Ltd.

Q: How much space do I need for a bouncy castle?

A: The dimensions of our castles are shown in our gallery page, please also allow an additional 5 feet both back and front and at least 2 feet at the sides.

Q: What kind of access do you need when you deliver the castle?

A: The castles are wheeled in to position using a cart, so we will need a standard size path to get the castle in to your garden or venue. If you have a lot of steps or a tight entrance way, please let us know so that we can assess the access.

Q: Can the bouncy castles go indoors?

A: Yes the bouncy castles can go indoors but you must check the height of the ceiling before booking. The ceiling must be higher than the height of the castle booked. heights of all our castles are on our website. ( a surcharge applies )

Q: Are you fully insured, if a child gets injured who's to blame?

A: We carry 5 million pounds worth of public liability cover, however as per our terms and conditions (click here) we cannot be held liable for any injuries caused whilst the castle is in your care. You are the sole person responsible for the castle and it's use and therefore should anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hire company. Our Public Liability covers US against set up faults or faulty equipment etc.

Q: How much notice to I need to give to book a castle?

A: As much notice as possible. During busy times we book up well in advance so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Q: Do you charge for cancellation?

A.In most cases we don't charge a cancellation charge, so long as you give us notice the day before, so that we can hire the castle out to somebody else. If we turn up to your house and you cancel on the day you will still be liable to pay the full cost of the booking.

Q: When the castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself or do you do it?

A: The delivery person will completely set up the castle, give you a demonstration on how to use it safely and then leave it in your control. You will be asked to sign a disclaimer that we have instructed you on use, explained the maximum number of users, maximum user height and other instructions. There are also safety instructions on the inflatable. When we turn up to collect the bouncy castle, we will also dismantle it.

Q: How many children/adults are allowed on the castle?

A: Each castle has different limits. You will be given instructions when the inflatable is dropped off. There are also safety instructions on the inflatable with maximum number of users and maximum user height. Along with other important and helpful information. Please note children's castles should never be used by heavier adults, remember the hirer is responsible for any damage.

Q: Is it ok to put a bouncy castle on my lawn, will it cause much damage?

A: We actually prefer to put the bouncy castle on a lawn area. For safety reasons we must hammer in 6 securing pegs to hold the castle down during use. The castle will have a ground sheet placed under it so the grass will not come to any harm. The holes left over from the securing pegs will disappear after a few days.

Q: Can you put a bouncy castle on a concrete floor?

A: We doput our inflatbles outside on concrete for safety reasons. Unless you allow us to drill the floor and put bolts in to anchor the inflatable down securely. If the inflatable is going inside on a hard floor please tell us this during booking so that we can arrange for sand bags to be in the vehicle when we deliver the castle. There may be an additional charge for this service.

Q: How long do I get the keep the bouncy castle?A: We usually deliver the castles first thing in the morning and then collect them later on that day. If you want it for more than one day please mention this when you book, this will of course be reflected in the price.

Q: Am I allowed to hire this castle from you and then charge people to use the castle?

A: Yes you are, but you must bear in mind that you are in charge and must make sure that people who use the castle are safe, don't overload the castle to try to make extra money. As the hire company you are liable for any damages.

Q: How many children can fit in a bouncy castle?

A: Generally speaking, between 5 and 12 children at one time. This does depends on the size of the children and the bouncy castle you have hired and the height of the users.

A: Yes, they are designed from the ground up with safety in mind. In addition, we review all safety rules with you prior to use. While no one can guarantee safety, we do everything we can to promote safe use of our products to ensure your day is filled with fun, not hospital visits.

Q. What if it rains?

A: All our Castles come with shower covers and all our extension leads are fully showerproof so showers won't stop play! - excluding indoor H Frame bouncy castles, slides, assault courses, inflatable games. If you are in doubt, the inflatable will have a picture of an umbrella on the information details. This means it has a shower cover.

Q: What are the appropriate ages for bouncing?

A: We cover all ages. We are insured for children, teenagers and adults, so anybody can join in the fun.

Q: My garden slopes a bit - will that be OK?

A: Yes. A slight slope is not a problem. Typically, we will place the entrance of the unit at the top of any slope. If the slope is more than a little, we may not be able to set up in that location. Your installer may request an alternate location so please have one in mind. The safety of the children is the most important consideration when selecting a setup area.

Q: Does it need electricity? How much does it use?A: Yes. We will bring a 50 foot extension cord with us, so you'll need an outlet near the set up area. The blower runs continuously and uses approximately £0.18 of electricity per hour. Your blow dryer uses more than that! NOTE: All blowers and wiring are safety checked before delivery.

Q: What time do you deliver and pickup the bouncy castle?

A:Rental periods vary. The typical range of rental time is 4 or 5 hours to all day (7 or 8 hours). You decide on the specific time you want the bouncy castle set up by and we'll have the equipment set up before that start time. It only takes approximately 15 mins for a children's castle to be set up and ready to go. If you have special requirements for an exact setup or pick up time, (for example, your event is in a location that you have rented for a specific amount of time) please let us know.
